The Gospel Gardens
The Gospel Gardens project represents Jesus on the day of the Crucifixion through 14 life-sized sculptures. The installation invites Christians and non-Christians alike into a deeper understanding of Christ and the Gospels through immersive visual storytelling.
Each massive sculpture features Jesus during the events of His Crucifixion against a detailed landscape that grounds the particular scene within its biblical context, with hundreds of embedded scriptural references.
Like a spiritual doorway, each creation transports viewers back in time to walk with Jesus through the Passion.
Legacy
The Gospel Gardens honors Barbara’s generosity with a carving depicting her with her late husband, Ralph. It reads, “The Gospel Gardens project has been fully financed as a gift to the world by Barbara Papitto, in loving memory of her late husband, Ralph Papitto. Over the last 40 years, Barbara has given her time to organizations and causes where she believes she can make a difference. Our thanks to Barbara, a devout follower of Christ, for her commitment to this world.”
